They are all bound by a long-standing friendship that arose under special circumstances, which fortunately cannot be repeated today. That friendship has truly stood the test of time. Our heroes are around eighty years old. But the story is not just about good times and friendly banter. Nor is it about the thrilling rescue of an inquisitive boy who is stuck on a rock. There is a detective mystery lurking in it that needs to be solved on the spot. In the end, the culprit reveals himself, but we see that judgment should be made cautiously and with knowledge of all the circumstances.

During this bizarre visit, the illusion of one happy marriage falls apart, one old misunderstanding is cleared up, and several others arise. Their meeting and the excursion, full of unexpected turns and new impressions, give their lives a new dimension.

Josef Loucký is the popular mayor of the village of Sedlčánky and has ambitions to win the prestigious title of Village of the Year. The mayor has been promised a subsidy for the construction of a sewage treatment plant if he has the sewers dug across the entire village within two weeks.
