Biography
Jeremy Charles Robert Clarkson (born 11 April 1960) is an English broadcaster, journalist and writer who specialises in motoring. He is best known for his role on the BBC TV show Top Gear along with co-presenters Richard Hammond and James May. He also writes weekly columns for The Sunday Times and The Sun. From a career as a local journalist in Northern England, Clarkson rose to public prominence as a presenter of the original format of Top Gear in 1988. Since the mid-1990s Clarkson has become a recognised public personality, regularly appearing on British television presenting his own shows and appearing as a guest on other shows. As well as motoring, Clarkson has produced programmes and books on subjects such as history and engineering. From 1998 to 2000 he also hosted his own chat show, Clarkson. His opinionated but humorous tongue-in-cheek writing and presenting style has often generated much public reaction to his viewpoints. His actions both privately and as a Top Gear presenter have also sometimes resulted in criticism from the media, politicians, pressure groups and the public. Despite the criticism levelled against him, Clarkson has also generated a significant following from the public at large, being credited as a major factor in the resurgence of Top Gear as one of the most popular shows on the BBC.

Have I Got News for You: The Best of the Guest Presenters Volume 2
Welcome to my new DVD, Duel - it's all about challenges and some big questions. Which car makes the most smoke while going sideways - a Lamborghini Murcielago SuperVeloce or a Vauxhall VXR8 Bathurst S? What is best at drifting - the Jaguar XKR, the Lotus Evora, Audi's R8 V10 or BMW's M3? To find out, I globe-trot from sun-drenched Spain to Silverstone via Oxfordshire and Swindon.
Clarkson: Duel
In "Hot Metal", Jeremy Clarkson tells us how everything is slowing down. But is it the same for today's cars? That means the 200-mile-per-hour Jaguar XJ220 taking on a Pagani Zonda. It means pitting a Mercedes McLaren SLR against a Porsche Carrera GT. And it means lining up a Ford GT with the original GT40. The Aston Martin DB9 is here too, taking on the old V8 Vantage warhorses, and just how much faster is the Mitsubishi Evo 8 compared to the first Evo? And just for the hell of it, a Nissan gets riddled with machine gun fire while taking up the new and dangerous sport of 'clay car shooting'!
Clarkson: Hot Metal
This video continued the trend of its predecessors, with Clarkson driving some super cars around a track and destroying a "bad" one, this time around a Morris Marina, which he disposes of by hooking up to a crane and knocking down a few other despised cars in a giant game of Car Skittles. Elsewhere the video focuses on Clarkson's personal top 100 cars, which he promoted on Granada Television's Men & Motors channel in 2001.
Clarkson's Top 100 Cars
Which is faster round a racetrack - a Porsche 911 or the Yamaha R1? Would you rather have a Ferrari 360 Modena or the new Aston Martin DB7 Vantage? Which is the best road-going rocketship - the BMW M5 with Tiff Needell at the wheel or JC’s Jaguar XJR? Which of the new Japanese super tech cars is best? the Evo6 or the 22b? PLUS grimace as JC shows a Hyundai what it’s like to be eaten, marvel at the Lamborghini LM002 as it wreaks havoc on London’s traffic and check out the greatest race Silverstone has ever seen - Johnny Herbert in his Stewart Ford and Colin McRae in his full rally spec Focus...versus JC in a Cougar. (NEVER BEFORE SEEN ON TV)
Clarkson - Head to Head
I trawl the whole of cardom to bring you seven great cars and truffle the undergrowth looking for seven automotive disasters. The good ones - the Ferraris, the Porches and the Aston Martins are driven to within an inch of their lives on the track. Some are even handed over to the Stig who makes a guest appearance. The bad ones are killed. Sawn in half. Hung, drawn and quartered. They're hammered and blown to pieces with dynamite and their skeletons left in the open to rot. I even find time for a game of car jousting. It's Heaven then, and Hell.
Clarkson: Heaven and Hell
Fast and Furious is the third home video release of original-format Top Gear. Arriving in a classic Mercedes-Benz 300SL, Tiff Needell opens up with the statement that ever since man first jumped on a horse, they have wanted to go faster and faster. What follows is a compilation featuring supercars driven by him and fellow presenter Jeremy Clarkson from Series 32 through to Series 36 of the original version of Top Gear, including the McLaren F1, Ferrari F50, and TVR Griffith 500.

Clarkson presents a montage of various crashes, motorcycle stunts, auto racing mishaps, and other vehicular carnage.
Clarkson's Motorsport Mayhem
2003 has been the best year for new cars ever. But I’m not interested in reliability, fuel consumption or even cup holders. This is all about finding the car of the year that put the biggest smile on my face.....It’s all about excitement... So I put the Bentley Continental GT head to head against the Rolls Royce Phantom in a heavy metal drag race. I pitch the Mitsubishi Evo VIII against its old enemy the Subaru Imprezza Sti. I choose the best road car you can use on a track and the contenders are the Lotus Elise, the Vauxhall VX220 Turbo and the new TVR350C. There's a supercar showdown between the Pagani Zonda and the Koenigsegg. And I throw down the gauntlet to the Lamborghini Gallardo, the Aston Martin DB7 GT, the Porsche GT3 and many, many more. I also found time to put a new spin on the art of caravan towing - flipping one on to its roof and hooking it up to a super fast Overfinch Range Rover. In fact, I had so much fun...I’m still smiling now. I'm sure you will too.
Clarkson: Shoot-Out
In the petrolhead world of customised cars, Jeremy Clarkson is about to learn that it's always possible to make the best even better. Swoon as Vicki Butler-Henderson takes her Ford Capri head-to-head against Jeremy's Mercedes and wins. Marvel as Jeremy modifies a boring road-going Rover into a monster!
Jeremy Clarkson at Full Throttle
Clarkson compares a number of sports and touring cars to find the best-handing car in the world. Jeremy tests a reviled Lada to destruction, a Toyota off-roader is matched head to head with the largest muckspreader Europe can offer and a whole lot more besides!
