That Was the Week That Was, informally TWTWTW or TW3, is a satirical television comedy programme on BBC Television in 1962 and 1963. It was devised, produced and directed by Ned Sherrin and presented by David Frost. The programme is considered a significant element of the satire boom in the United Kingdom in the early 1960s. It broke ground in comedy through lampooning the establishment and political figures. Its broadcast coincided with coverage of the politically charged Profumo affair and John Profumo, the politician at the centre of the affair, became a target for derision. TW3 was first broadcast on Saturday 24 November 1962.

La Fin du monde est à 7 heures was a Quebec television comedy series, which aired on TQS from 1997 to 2000. As the title says, the show was traditionally broadcast daily at 7 PM, but was later moved to the 6 PM slot, at the same time as most other networks' news bulletins, with no name change. Hosted by Marc Labrèche, the program was a satirical take on news and current affairs, somewhat similar in style to the English Canadian series This Hour Has 22 Minutes. In addition to Labrèche, other personalities associated with the show include Jean-René Dufort, Patrick Masbourian, Isabelle Maréchal, Paul Houde and Bruno Blanchet. Jean-René Dufort now hosts a show on Radio-Canada called Infoman.

An offbeat account of King Arthur's quest for the Grail, where virtually every journey, battle or adventure is stopped dead in its tracks by the Knights of the Round Table's most worldly traits: cowardice, greed, idiocy or misplaced chivalry. Consequently, instead of epic adventures, the characters' pragmatism and anachronisms take on each and every event in the Grail legend, true to the purest sitcom tradition.

Hausmeister Krause – Ordnung muss sein is a German sitcom with Tom Gerhardt in the title role, shown from 1999 through 2010 on Sat.1. The series parodies typical German "squareness". Half-day janitor Dieter Krause is the embodiment of the German "square"; he is pernickety, blindly follows order, denounces others, is nosy, consistently puts his own interests above all else, acts subservient to his superiors and is brutish and unjust to those he deemes below him. Many plot elements — mishaps, misunderstandings, and frequent cases of mistaken identity — originate from Boulevard theatre. The characters in the series borrow heavily from those in Tom Gerhardt's film Voll normaaal, in many cases sharing names. In Voll normaaal, Tom Gerhardt played the roles of both Dieter and Tommie Krause; in Hausmeister Krause, Tommie was played by Axel Stein. Daughter Carmen is played by Janine Kunze. Other characters from Voll normaaal, such as Tommie's friend Mario, are relegated to the status of background characters. The scope of action also changed.
